Local Road Safety Training offered by LTAP (Local Technical Assistance Program)

Caltrans Division of Local Assistance along with the Federal Highway Administration and Sacramento State Local Technical Assistance Program is offering a new training on Local Road Safety. The training will focus primarily on FHWA’s Proven Safety Countermeasures in the areas of peds/bikes, roadway departure, and intersections, and Local Road Safety Plans.

The training will be required in order to be eligible for Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) funds in 2022.

All training will be done through Zoom with a capacity of 300 per session. Although you may sign up for any session, it would make sense to sign up for the training that would have been physically closest to where you live. Group settings are encouraged, if social distancing is available, to maximize the number of lines available. The trainings will begin promptly at 8:30 AM.
