The ATP Cycle 5 Call-for-Projects is now open as of March 25th. The application deadline is set for June 15th, 2020.
This cycle is awarding approximately $440M in Federal funding, State SB1, and State Highway Account funding. The ATP application has five different project types (Large Project, Medium Project, Small Project, Non-Infrastructure, Plan) with different application questions depending on the project. The Active Transportation Program
The Active Transportation Program was established in the Department of Transportation in 2013 to consolidate existing federal and state transportation programs (SB 99 and AB 101). The ATP integrates the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP), Bicycle Transportation Account (BTA), and State Safe Routes to School (SRTS) into a single focused program that would promote California as a national leader in active transportation.
