Streets for Kids Leadership Accelerator Streets for Kids Leadership Accelerator

The Global Designing Cities Initiative (GDCI) has opened applications for the Streets for Kids Leadership Accelerator professional development program. Program participants are eligible for project implementation grants of up to $20,000 to support local projects. The Accelerator encourages applications from teams of three people from the same city, that represent an interdisciplinary group of government departments and other organizations. 2022 AARP Community Challenge Grants Grants to make communities livable for people of all ages.

The AARP Community Challenge from AARP Livable Communities has released a call for applications for small grants to fund quick-action projects that can help communities become more livable for people of all ages. In 2022, applicants are encouraged to submit projects that improve public spaces, housing, transportation and civic engagement; support diversity, equity and inclusion; build engagement for programs under new federal laws; and pursue innovative ideas that support people age 50 or older. Applications are due on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 5pm ET. Learn more about the program and how to apply.



Riding for Focus (R4F) Grant "Outride Programs Portal"

Outride has opened applications for the Riding for Focus (R4F) Grant, which promotes cycling as an outlet for students to improve their cognitive, physical, and socio-emotional well-being. The R4F is a middle school-based PE program that schools serving marginalized communities can apply for. The grant provides bikes, helmets, curriculum, and intensive teacher training. Applications are due by Friday, April 15, 2022 at 11:59pm PT. Learn more about the program and how to apply.
