The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has released a new report, Guide for Improving Pedestrian Safety at Uncontrolled Crossing Locations that addresses
safety issues at uncontrolled pedestrian crossing locations. The guide includes steps to assist an agency in selecting appropriate countermeasures to implement, and was produced as part of the Safe Transportation for Every Pedestrian (STEP) program.
