New GHSA Report - Pedestrian Traffic Fatalities by State: 2017 Preliminary Data

From 2007 to 2016, pedestrian fatalities increased 27%, while all other traffic deaths decreased by 14%. A new report released by the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA), "Pedestrian Traffic Fatalities by State: 2017 Preliminary Data", takes a look at these alarming trends at both the state and national level.

The report also explores potential contributors to the high rate of pedestrian fatalities, highlights efforts being taken to reduce pedestrian fatalities and injuries, provides an overview of federal safety programs and resources, and provides a state-by-state list of activities happening across the country to address pedestrian safety.
