OTS Grant Applications Available Dec. 5, 2016

Beginning December 5, 2016, the Office of Traffic Safety (OTS)will start accepting online applications for grants scheduled to start on October 1, 2017. OTS will launch a new electronic grant system GEMS (Grant Electronic Management System).

This day brings together students, school administration and staff, parents and the community to celebrate the value of walking to school. Please join us in walking to campus, your school or anywhere else to improve physical health and highlight the need for improvements to create safer spaces for students that walk to school.

Viva CalleSJ is back again this year! Similar to last year, miles of San Jose streets will be close for community members to enjoy walking, biking, skating and exploring the city.  This year's event, From the West: Glen Meets Zen, will open six miles of  San Jose streets, including Japantown, Willow Glen, Burbank and Downtown, for people to come out and play for the day!

The City of Fresno will be hosting two community workshops on May 18 and May 19 to gather input on the city's new Active Transportation Plan. Please provide your feedback to help establish walking and biking priorities for the city of Fresno.

The plan will identify ways to enhance and expand the network of bicycle and pedestrian travelways and trails in Fresno.
Learn more about the project, provide your comments and suggestions in an interactive online map, and stay informed as the plan is developed.

626 Golden Streets, presented by Metro Los Angeles, and led by BikeSGV, will occur on Sunday, June 26 from 8am-3pm. Walk, bike, run and explore one of the largest open streets in the country--spanning 18+ miles, linking 7 San Gabriel Valley cities and 6 new Foothill Metro Gold Line stations.
