The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) is leading a county-wide effort to create the Active Transportation Strategic Plan (ATSP). The Plan is currently underway, with LA Metro holding Round 2 workshops for community leaders and experts to participate in the development process.
The plan will update Metro’s 2006 Bicycle Transportation Strategic Plan and support implementation of Metro’s Complete Streets Policy and Countywide Sustainability Planning Policy. This effort also expands on the transit access framework of the First Last Mile Strategic Plan
The Plan will also serve as Metro’s overall strategy for funding and implementing active transportation facilities and programs.
