Paint the Town is back! The Oakland Department of Transportation, Eastside Arts Alliance, and Safe Passages relaunched their popular program to provide Oakland residents with an opportunity to engage with their neighbors, friends, and community organizations to create murals directly on their own neighborhood streets. The Paint the Town Program aims to beautify Oakland streets, bring neighborhoods together, and advance racial justice goals. Eastside Arts Alliance and Safe Passages will help residents and local groups in underserved neighborhoods with the application process to help them foster their own imagination and creativity through reimagining their neighborhood streets as spaces of art, vibrancy, and community ownership.
