2023 Go Human Community Hubs SCAG Go Human logo

Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) has launched their 2023 Go Human Community Hubs grant program. The program offers funding opportunities for community organizations to implement local traffic safety and community engagement strategies that leverage community gathering and resource sites or networks. In order to be eligible, applicants must identify as a community-based organizations, non-profits, or social enterprises within the SCAG region (the counties of Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura).

Better Bike Share Mini-Grants Better Bike Share Partnership logo

The PeopleForBikes Foundation, as part of the Better Bike Share Partnership, is accepting applications for their Better Bike Share Mini-Grants program. Applicants chosen will receive a mini-grant of $10,000 to $25,000 to support programs or events in 2023. Those at non-profit community-based organizations, cities, or shared mobility operators are eligible to apply and their projects must have the broad goal of increasing access to and use of shared micromobility options in low-income and/or communities of color.

Community Spark GrantsLeague of American Bicyclist's Community Spark Grant Program logo

The League of American Bicyclists has launched their second annual Community Spark Grant program which aims to support local changemakers and organizations across the county to improve their communities through bicycling. Applicants chosen will receive up to $1,500 to support projects and programs that spark change and catalyze a community’s ability to create places where bicycling is a safe, easy, and more accessible option. Those at non-profit community-based organizations and public or government organizations/agencies are eligible to apply.

Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) Transformative Climate Communities logo

California Strategic Growth Council’sTransformative Climate Communities grant program announced its notice of funding availability and is currently accepting applications through August 1, 2023. The grant program aims to empower those most impacted by pollution, allowing them to choose their own goals, strategies, and projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and local air pollution.

Project examples include:

  • Transit stations and facilities

  • Electric bicycle and car share programs

  • Urban greening and green infrastructure

  • Bicycle and pedestrian facilities

  • Health and well-being projects
