New Quick Bites released by the ITE

ITE - A Community of Transportation Professionals (ITE) released their latest two Quick Bites this past January: “Synergy Between Vision Zero and Safe Routes to School” and “Estimating the Health Benefits from Active Transportation Projects.”

Synergy Between Vision Zero and Safe Routes to SchoolITE Logo

Description: This Quick Bite explores the shared principles, complementary strengths, and practical strategies that transportation professionals can leverage to eliminate traffic fatalities and create safer routes for K–12 students. The authors argue that by aligning the Safe System approach with SRTS strategies, agencies can implement data-driven, defensible, and child-centered improvements that protect students and strengthen safety across the entire community.
